Mobile Device Recycling FAQs

Our process begins with a managed MDM unenrollment workflow. For Apple devices, we coordinate with your Apple Business Manager (ABM) admin to release devices from Automated Device Enrollment (ADE / DEP) and your MDM (Jamf, Intune, Kandji, etc.). For Android, we remove devices from Android Enterprise / Zero-Touch enrollment. Without proper unenrollment, devices remain locked and unsellable — we handle this end-to-end.

All modern smartphones use full-disk hardware encryption. We perform a factory reset that triggers cryptographic erasure — the encryption key is destroyed, rendering all data permanently unrecoverable per NIST 800-88 cryptographic erase standards. For devices that fail sanitization or contain regulated PHI/PII, we physically shred the device and provide a Certificate of Destruction.

Yes. Our mobile destruction process meets HIPAA Security Rule requirements for ePHI on mobile devices. We document the sanitization method, serial number (IMEI / MEID), date, and technician on a Certificate of Destruction that satisfies HIPAA audit requirements. Healthcare clients receive a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) on request.

Yes. We accept mobile devices in any condition — functional, screen-cracked, water-damaged, or non-booting. Devices that cannot be powered on for cryptographic erase are physically shredded, with the destruction documented per device. Functional devices with cosmetic damage are remarketed through repair-and-resale partners, recovering value that would otherwise be lost.

Yes. Recent iPhones (12 series and newer), iPads, and flagship Android devices retain significant resale value. We test, grade, and remarket functional units through certified channels. For 100+ device fleets we provide a per-model valuation upfront so you can plan refresh budgets accurately.

Who we can serve: businesses only

We collect from offices, facilities, warehouses, server rooms, and data centers. We do not service residences — no household pickups and no consumer drop-off.
